IS VINEXPO THE BEST WINE FAIR ? How to transform a simple event into a success

Back form VINEXPO, I was thinking to how we could share our knowledge of wine events. We all know that this is so important to take part to Wine Fair.
This is one of the best way to meet your clients and to invite your new propects.

But we can see that there is so many wine events all year long :

And sometimes we do not meet as many people as we hoped during a fair or we do not meet the right people...

A fair is a double edge weapon, it could be so expensive or it could bring you lots of new customers.

I would like you to comment on your fair experience, to give recomendations about fairs and to advise for the best wine fair in your opinion.
Thank you for helping,

Brice ROLLIN

All depends what you have to sell. I think Vinexpo is weakened but still remains a major actor of the wine export. Although some people told me that the German Prowein could be more international than before.

2009 was hard for all of those fairs. Everybody is more looking for selling their stocks than for trying new things. Buying was 10% of a buyers time, now it's going to be 5%.
Hi Noël,

Thank you for your reply. I think you are right about Vinexpo and Prowein.
But I think it could be very interesting now to take part to wine fair directly in the exportations area such as the Boston wine Fair, The Sao polo Expovinis or Gulfood.

Concerning the stocks I think that this is important to try new things to sell them better, but It will be difficult because of the lack of investment.

Do you have examples of sucessfull participations during wine events ?

Brice
